Ping is the Leader in Custom Fitting Golf Clubs

When it comes to custom fitted golf clubs you will never go wrong when you buy Ping. They started making custom clubs more than 45 years ago. Karsten Solheim started making golf clubs for PGA Tour pros back in 1960. He helped PGA Tour pro’s to improve their game by fitting the club to their swings. Several went on to win not long after having their clubs fitted by Karsten. This was how and when Ping’s famous color coding system was born.

It stands to reason that every golfer is different as is their swing. Fitting someone that is 5′9″ tall is totally different than fitting someone who is 6′5″. The equipment that these to golfer’s need is vastly different. The shorter player requires a more flat lie, while the taller player needs a more up right lie. These are just a few of the variables involved in the fitting process.

Dealing With the Mental Game of Golf

Sep 05, 2007 in Amateur Sports, Golf

There are millions of us amateur golfers who struggle with the Mental Game of Golf all the time.

It was once said by Bobby Jones “the toughest course around is the six inches between our ears.” What an unbelievably true statement!

We struggle with swing thoughts, mechanics, tempo, alignment. We are intimidated by hazards on either side of the hole. We think “I don’t want to go right there is out of bounds over there” or “don’t go left there is a water hazard there.” Inevitably when we think about the things that we don’t want to happen, we have opened the door and our Mental Game thoughts take over. The result is we are either OB or in the water hazard.

In Search Of Sport Specific Workout Plans

Aug 20, 2007 in Amateur Sports, Articles, Athletes, Sports, Sports Products

When I want to improve my golf game and I want a workout routine that is specific to the sport of golf, why can’t I find any? The Internet is completely inundated with general workout plans and body building workouts, but finding an excellent workout plan that you can trust for each of the different sports is more than difficult, it’s almost impossible! It’s amazing to me, but in today’s health conscience society, in a health industry full of specialists, why is physical fitness training still back in the stone age? Why is it so hard to find workout programs designed for each individual sport? If you have a bad back you don’t go to a general M.D., you go see an orthopedic doctor. If you have an impacted wisdom tooth you don’t go to a general dentist, you see an oral surgeon. If you suddenly develop double vision you don’t go to your local eye glass store, you see an ophthalmologist.
